Alright, let me tell you about this fella, Jesse Forbes. Now, I ain’t no fancy fight expert or nothin’, but I can tell you what I know. Seems like he was a fighter, one of them mixed martial arts fellas. You know, the ones that do all that punchin’ and kickin’ and grapplin’ on the ground? Yeah, that’s the kind.
Jesse Forbes, that’s his name. Born in 1984, October 24th to be exact. Don’t ask me how I know, I just heard it somewhere. He fought for a good while, from 2005 to 2010. That’s like, what, five years? A long time to be gettin’ punched in the face, if you ask me.
He fought in some big places, like the UFC and the WEC. Never heard of ’em? Well, they’re big deals in the fightin’ world, or so I’m told. This fella fought all kinds of opponents, different weights and styles, I reckon. They call him a Middleweight, whatever that means. Guess he was somewhere in the middle, not too big, not too small.

- And another one, Jensen, I think. He won that one.
- He was even on somethin’ called “The Ultimate Fighter 3”. Sounds like a tough show, probably lots of yellin’ and sweatin’.
Now, I ain’t gonna sit here and pretend I know all the ins and outs of his fights. I can’t tell you about his fancy moves or nothin’ like that. But I can tell you he was in the ring, fightin’ his heart out. Won some, lost some, that’s how it goes, I guess. They say he won 13 fights and lost 6. That ain’t too shabby, is it?
They got all this information about him online, you know. Fight history, they call it. Who he fought, when he fought, even how he won or lost. It’s all there, for anyone who wants to see it. I ain’t got no use for it myself, but I guess some folks find it interestin’.
He retired in 2010. Probably got tired of gettin’ punched, I would be. Maybe he settled down, got himself a nice little place, maybe even a family. Who knows? I don’t. But I hope he’s happy, wherever he is. He put in his time, fought his fights. Now he can relax, I reckon.
They say he was young, just 21 when he was on that “Ultimate Fighter” show. Just a kid, really, tryin’ to make a name for himself. Well, he did somethin’ right, seein’ as how folks are still talkin’ about him. Even old ladies like me have heard his name.
So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about Jesse Forbes. A fighter, a middleweight, fought in the UFC and WEC. Won some, lost some, retired in 2010. Not a bad fella, I reckon. Just tryin’ to make his way in the world, like the rest of us. Only he did it with his fists.
