Well now, let me tell ya something ’bout them UFC fighters. Y’know, these folks ain’t your regular folks you see runnin’ ’round in the fields. They got muscles the size of watermelons and fight like bulls in a stampede. Now, I been hearin’ folks talkin’ a lot about who might be standin’ tall by the end of 2024, and I reckon I got a few thoughts on that. So, pull up a chair and let me tell ya what I think’s gonna happen.
1. Lightweight Champion – Islam Makhachev
Now, this young feller, Islam Makhachev, he’s a tough one, let me tell ya. Been watchin’ him fight, and I can see he’s got the skill and the smarts to go all the way. Ain’t no doubt in my mind that come 2024, he’s gonna still be holdin’ onto that lightweight belt. He’s strong, quick, and knows how to wear down his opponent like an old pair of boots. So, if you’re askin’ me, Islam’s gonna be sittin’ pretty as the lightweight champ by the end of next year.
2. Featherweight Champion – Alexander Volkanovski
Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t like to make too many guesses, but Alexander Volkanovski, he’s been fightin’ like a man possessed. He’s already proved himself as one tough cookie in that featherweight division. Ain’t no one yet come close to takin’ his belt away. You know, with his mix of power and speed, it’s hard to see anyone beatin’ him in the year ahead. So, I reckon he’s gonna be holdin’ onto that title right through 2024, barring some big ol’ surprise.
3. Bantamweight Champion – Sean O’Malley
Now here’s a feller I gotta say, I been watchin’ Sean O’Malley. He’s got the moves, the flair, and a bit of that cocky attitude too. I know folks are talkin’ ‘bout him as the next big thing in the bantamweight division. He’s got the speed and the accuracy, and if he keeps his cool and keeps trainin’, I think he’ll still be holdin’ onto that belt come the end of 2024. I ain’t sayin’ it’s gonna be easy, but this kid’s got talent and the kind of fire that’ll keep him up there at the top.
4. Flyweight Champion – Brandon Moreno
Now, let’s talk about the little guys. Ain’t no shame in that, mind ya, ’cause they fight just as hard as the big fellas. Now, the current champ at flyweight is a feller named Alexandre Pantoja. But mark my words, by the end of 2024, I’m bettin’ Brandon Moreno’s gonna take that belt from him. I been watchin’ these two, and Moreno’s got that mix of heart, endurance, and strategy that makes him tough to beat. He’s got a chance to get that belt back and hold onto it for a while, I reckon.
5. Welterweight Champion – Leon Edwards
In the welterweight division, we got Leon Edwards. This guy, he’s had some ups and downs, but he sure did show some grit last time he fought. If he stays on track, keeps his head in the game, and doesn’t let his guard down, I’m thinkin’ Edwards might just still be the champ by the end of next year. It ain’t gonna be easy, but he’s shown he’s got the skills to hold that title, so I’m stickin’ with him.
6. Middleweight Champion – Israel Adesanya
Now, if you talk about middleweight, you gotta talk about Israel Adesanya. Ain’t nobody got his style in the ring. He’s quick, he’s clever, and he’s got the reach of a tall oak tree. Even though he’s had some close calls, I’m still thinkin’ he’ll be the one with the belt by the end of 2024. Sure, there’s some tough competition, but unless somebody does something real special, I think Adesanya’s got this one in the bag.
7. Light Heavyweight Champion – Jamahal Hill
Well, now let’s talk about the big boys in the light heavyweight division. Jamahal Hill, he’s a strong one. Big feller, too. If he can keep his focus and stay away from injuries, I think he’ll hold onto that title. The guy’s got power, and he knows how to handle himself in the ring. Sure, there’s some other strong contenders, but Hill’s been looking real good, so I reckon he’s got a good shot at still bein’ the champ by the end of 2024.
8. Heavyweight Champion – Jon Jones
Now, I’ll tell ya, when it comes to the heavyweights, Jon Jones is the one to watch. Ain’t nobody like him. He’s quick for a big man, and his skills are second to none. Sure, he’s had his issues in the past, but he’s back, and he’s fightin’ like a man on a mission. I think by the end of 2024, Jon Jones is gonna be holdin’ onto that heavyweight title, unless somebody can come outta nowhere and give him a run for his money. But I don’t see that happenin’ just yet.
So, there ya have it, folks. That’s my predictions for the UFC champions at the end of 2024. Now, like I always say, you never really know what’s gonna happen in the fightin’ world. Things can change real quick, but if I had to bet, I’m stickin’ with these names for now. We’ll just have to wait and see if I’m right, won’t we?
